I am by no means an Astro Photographer, but I’m always up for trying it. I’ve been up to the coast several times when I’ve heard that there was a chance of the Northern Lights being seen in Northern Ireland, and I had yet to see them. I headed up to the coast last night after hearing that there was a good chance of them being seen. They could be see very vey faintly with the naked eye, once my eyes had adjusted to the dark. I was aware of jets of light on the horizon, shooting up into the sky. The pictures however are much clearer. I will probably keep heading to the coast to try and see them again, especially if there is a prediction of a strong display, rather than last nights fairly faint one.
