Amanda & Dan’s Northern Ireland Elopement is one of my favourite sessions to date. These guys were planning to elope to Northern Ireland, and they sent me an email asking for my advice on Tollymore Forest Park. It just so happened that we had a family trip to the Forest Park planned, so I was able to check out the park for them, and help them pick a spot for their ceremony.
When they arrived in Northern Ireland, I met them at the Slieve Donard Hotel, in Newcastle, on a sunny June day, where the did a little first look in the shadow of the Mourne Mountains.
We headed up to Tollymore and met the Celebrant. We took our time, walking through the park, they had a beautiful ceremony among the trees, and afterwards we headed to the Maghera Inn for a spot of lunch.
Tollymore Forest Park, and the Mourne Mountains are such a great place to have a Northern Ireland Elopement (and not just because they are famous Game of Thrones locations)
It was such a relaxed, genuine afternoon, and I love that I got to be a part of it.

If you were thinking of having a Northern Ireland Elopement, or anywhere in Ireland really, there are no shortage of places to elope to, not just Tollymore Forest Park, and especially around the Causeway Coast, and Glens of Antrim! I’m a Northern Ireland local, and native, so I can definitely help you plan, find locations and suppliers here in Northern Ireland to make your elopement an amazing experience for the two of you.
If you are eloping to Ireland, or having a short informal ceremony, just get in touch, I’d love to have to chat with you!
